Musick Mountain Farm
My Goals
My short-term goal is to successfully earn a living growing and selling a wide variety of awesome, healthy, organic vegetables at the farmers market and supply up to 20 CSA members with a half bushel basket of vegetables a week, May through October.
My long-term goal is to set up educational workshops here on the farm to teach sustainable, organic methods of gardening, healthy food preparation, food preservation (canning, freezing, and drying), wild food foraging, and growing, drying, and using herbs.
My Purpose
I have always been deeply committed to living a self-sufficient lifestyle. I believe in taking responsibility for my daily life needs in a way that causes as little harm to the earth as possible. I am dedicated to developing a healthy body, mind, and spirit through freshly prepared organic meals, yoga, prayer, meditation, and Native American sweat lodges. It is my personal pledge to grow a wide variety of organic vegetables using sustainable methods of agriculture which feed and nurture humus-rich soil and grow exceptionally nutritious vegetables. Absolutely no chemicals or pesticides of any kind are ever used. This way of life supports eating seasonally and locally as well as insuring healthy, unpolluted soil for future generations.
